My big project that I have been working on is finally finished!! Yay! It seems to have taken me forever and used up every ounce of my "me-time". Mostly because of the fact that I am a perfectionist and that the velvet was much harder to work with than I originally expected. It would slip and slide all over the place. Not sure of exactly what type of velvet it is, but it has a short nap and has a nice soft, silky feel.
My cousin-in-law loved her daughter's crib bedding and was sad to see it go when her little munchkin graduated to a twin. She had the great idea to make a whole new twin bedding set out of it.
So here's the before:
And after:
I added the velvet and pink swirl fabric to make up for the extra yardage needed. It included a twin sized quilt, standard pillow case, sham, square pillow, rectangular pillow, bolster, and bed skirt. I am really pleased with how it came out and hope this adorable little girl it loves too.
Here it is in action:
I absolutely loved all the little ruffles...almost enough to make me want a little girlie of my own...almost.
